Uroptychus Cartesi Crab
Uroptychus cartesi crab is a crab ranging up to 5-7 cm long. These species of crab have been discovered at nearly a mile deep in the underwater mountains facing the Galician coast in Spain. Uroptychus cartesi crab belongs to a family called the Chirostylidae family, one of four species that live in Europe.

It has a lot similarities with the Caribbean species Uroptychus Armatus. The small crab is orange-coloured and its shell is pretty strong with number of thorns on it. This deadly critter has no backbone and is a invertebrate just like any crab. This crab can be also classified as a arthropod due to fact that it has an exoskeleton and jointed legs.
